Canon 50mm f1.8 - 1/1000 sec.
I love this action shot. Huxley's paws are splayed out and ready for the next step; there's lots of motion and it's sharp. Getting sharp pics of Huxley is often a challenge since he's so quick. On this overcast day, I cranked the ISO to 800 and set my aperture to f8 to get more depth of field.
When shooting fast, incoming subjects, I focus on the ground just before them and wait until they enter the focal plane. Since I rarely use AI Focus, this technique works well for me.
